Las Vegas Exterminator Earns 4th Angie’s List Super Service Award

Las Vegas Pest Control Reviews Earn Bulwark an Award!

Super Service Award 2011

Bulwark Exterminating has been awarded the 2011 Angie’s List Super Service Award in Las Vegas for the fourth consecutive year for the branch’s exceptional service and customer service rating.

Angie’s List, the pay-for consumer review website, awards its annual Super Service Award to approximately five percent of its listed businesses. Business operators are rated each year on aspects such as customer reviews, maintaining a limited number of reports and abiding by operational guides.

“It’s a real testament to the hard work and dedication of each of our technicians,” said Branch Manager Wayne Bryant. “We treat every customer like our best and most loyal customer, and they notice the difference.

Bulwark’s Las Vegas exterminator branch has won the prestigious award since 2008. Since then the branch has seen consistent growth from year to year not just in customer base, but employed technicians and office staff. The Las Vegas valley also presents unique pest problems which are not easily eliminated.

Scorpions in Las Vegas are the hardest household pest to eliminate,” said Bryant. “It’s quite satisfying to be recognized for our ability to successfully treat the homes of our customers, knowing they have some one of the most challenging pest problems.”

Bulwark Exterminating has been the center of attention in recent online marketing events for their insights on turning satisfied customers into online reviewers. Back in March of this year at the Search Marketing Expo in California, Thomas Ballantyne of Bulwark Exterminating spoke on the correlation between online reviews, customer satisfaction, customer retention, and customer referrals. “The type of behavior that is required to earn an online review is the same behavior that improves customer satisfaction which improves referrals. Our Las Vegas branch scored high in all of these areas. Wayne Bryant is a fantastic leader and motivator.”

Bulwark Exterminating LLC is based in Mesa, AZ and is an industry leader in providing high quality pest control service. Spring means Spiders – Get Spider Control

Awe Spring, Life is Buzzing, the Birds and the Bees… oh and don’t forget the spiders.

The Blue Skies of Spring Bring Spiderlings

Raleigh Spider Control

As the beautiful blue skies of spring turn to sunny summer our minds turn to watermelons, swimming pools, and heat waves. Unfortunately as we contemplate what drink we want to have poolside, the bugs around our house are contemplating how to grab a drink from our sinksides. With the AC turned on pumping deliciously cool air throughout our own personal compounds we create a great escape from the heat for the wondering insects on the outside. In fact it may feel as if these creepy crawlers are appearing from thin air. But it’s actually that cool moist air seeping out of our homes that draws the pests in. The hollowed walls of your home may have never seen an attack from such a sneaky adversary, but sure enough here they are. Sure you’ve seen the occasional spider or cricket but now it’s like your house is their own personal oasis.

This is a problem all too common in the insect world. Over the years I’ve had many conversations with people wondering how this could be, and what is going on. Well let’s take a conversation I had recently with a lady, I’ll call her Lisa.

Lisa: Can you help me I’m seeing spiders?

Me: Absolutely, tell me a little about the problem.

Lisa: Well we moved into the house about a year ago and didn’t have any problems and now just seem to see them everywhere. I’m not seeing any webs but they are crawling all over the house. I don’t know what is going on. We are clean people and don’t leave food out. It makes no sense.

This is a scenario that plays itself out in homes all over the nation around this time of year. Spiders typically are solitary creatures that like to live by themselves hunting and trapping their food with webs and various other methods. However, every year the call of nature arrives and the need to mate hits spiders everywhere. The mating really isn’t the problem though…it’s the aftermath of the mating. Being the solo creatures that they are, spiders decide that if they are going to mate they are going to make it worth their while. So with each egg sac they lay they make sure it is full with 200-300 baby spiders. The egg sac itself doesn’t look like much, just a small white little fluffy ball of web, but it sure does pack a punch. As those eggs mature and eventually hatch these hundreds of baby spiders quickly become the massive infestation you never knew you had. The spiderlings begin ballooning and spreading. And literally hundreds of new spiders are now lurking about. All from one small white egg sac. Add three, four, or five of these eggs sacs and hundreds become thousands.

That’s why we exterminators are here; to fix infestations as they occur or even better stop them before they happen. Bulwark (a defensive barrier) is our name, and protecting homes is our game. To see how we can best help you, give us a call.

How many spiders do you eat each year while sleeping? ZERO According to this exterminator.

Haven’t you heard? According to popular belief we eat spiders at night while we sleep! Is this possible? Do we eat spiders while sleeping? Granted some spiders are very very small. It is believable that small spiders may be able to slip into your mouth and stomach unnoticed. But one Florida Exterminator argues otherwise:

150x100 How many spiders do you eat each year while sleeping? ZERO According to this exterminator.

SANDS OF SAMAR, ISRAEL - JANUARY 12: This recent handout photo provided by the University of Haifa on January 12, 2010, shows a new and previously unknown species of spider in the dune of the Sands of Samar in the southern Arava desert region of Israel. A member of the Cerbalus genus, the spider has been named Cerbalus Aravensis. It has a leg-span that can reach up to 14 cm which makes it the largest spider of its type in the Middle East. You may well have heard this idea being thrown around all over the place: apparently we unwittingly swallow a steady diet of spiders in our sleep. As our mouths loll open, passing arachnids find themselves strangely compelled to crawl in, where we cheerfully gulp them down without knowing. Makes you shudder doesn’t it? Well before you start wearing a surgical mask to bed, you’ll be pleased to hear that this is just an urban legend.

Over the past few years, the idea has been trotted out all over the internet and beyond. Some sources say the average is seven in an entire lifetime, while others insist it’s eight in a single year. Even the lowest estimates are significantly higher than the true figure – zero.

http://www.mcdonaldpestcontrol.com/tampa-pest/pest-control-experts-set-it-straight-we-do-not-eat-spiders-in-our-sleep/

The writer proceeds to give a short history on the origins of this myth. Great read. The point that he underscored that most professional spider exterminators will appreciate is this, Why would a spider travel into your mouth? Most spiders don’t just wonder around aimlessly. Many spiders will rarely leave their webs. Those that do travel about at night are often hunting spiders. So perhaps you swallowed a fly, and you don’t know why. So you swallow a spider to catch the fly… Kidding. Really great article by our fellow exterminator. Bulwark Exterminating gives you two thumbs up.

Back to the question at hand, now that we have some opposing views. What do you think?

Do we eat spiders at night?

Pest Control Guest Post Opportunites

March 16th, 2012 No comments

General rule of thumb,
if they mention you and/or your company,
then you deserve a link.

My boss was interviewed by a big magazine that published both off and online. He gave some great info and insight into running an exterminator business. What he forgot to do was ask for a link. While this should happen naturally from writers/editors, it doesn’t. Perhaps I live in a dream world that would deem that linking to your source as ethical. Maybe I am alone in thinking that writers should know to link out. Perhaps someday, but for now on my boss has been advised to proceed as follows.

ASK FOR THE LINK BEFORE THE INTERVIEW

It’s really very simple boss, when they quote you they need to do the following:

“Adam Seever, CEO of Bulwark Exterminating, says…”

If it’s an exclusive interview of you then they should conclude with an about section or begin with an introduction were they can build up more of your expertise. You can get a few more links in if it’s an exclusive interview.

“Today we are interviewing Adam Seever, CEO of Bulwark Exterminating, who has used database technology to create www.ScorpionReport.org

In the past I would have pushed for an anchor text link for targeted keywords like pest control , and if I author a guest post for someone then I typically do drop in such a link, but today Google wants to see more of your branded keyword linking to you over heavy anchor text links. You can still accomplish this in an interview if you reference something you have written elsewhere online… “In my recent article on ant control I showed how statistical evaluation of treatments..”

You can also have them drop in easy links under a bio that lead to Find Bulwark on twitter, Follow Bulwark on Facebook: http://facebook.com/bulwarkpestcontrol Read Bulwark’s Blog

These are just a few thoughts on how to get valid links through interviewing or blogging. But don’t over do your linking. If you submit an article to me as a guest blog post with as many self promoting links as what are in this article then I’d reject your article submission. I think 1-2 selfish links per article is permissible. More links are acceptable if they are not self serving. So if you want to load up a few more links then link to your friends.

Angie's List Super Service Award 2011

Bulwark Exterminating has been awarded the 2011 Angie’s List Super Service Award for the company’s excellent customer service rating in Arizona.

Super Service Award recipients have maintained an “A” grade average in Angie’s rating formula. Only an estimated five percent of companies listed on Angie’s List receive the prestigious award on an annual basis. This will be the 3rd time that Bulwark has received the award here in the Phoenix area.

“Our technicians and office staff deserve this award 100%”, said Mesa Branch Manager Joe Davey. “They work tirelessly to ensure the needs of our customers are met day in and day out.”

Bulwark Exterminating services over ten thousands customers valley wide from offices in Gilbert, Mesa, Phoenix and Peoria. The family owned exterminating company has made a name in Arizona as the pest control provider in the valley that absolutely guarantees to eliminate scorpions with a money back guarantee. In 2010, 97% of Bulwark’s current customers said they would recommend their pest control services to a friend of family member.

“We appreciate that our customers take the time to recognize the hard work of the technicians that service their homes,” said Davey. “Our techs are the face of Bulwark. Receiving the Super Service Award is an honor and it validates the hard work of our entire staff across the valley.”

While the award went to the Mesa pest control branch of Bulwark Exterminating the owners feel that the award is shared by all of the valley locations as customers on Angie’s list don’t often realize which branch services them.

Termites Eat $6,000 in buried cash!

September 2nd, 2011 1 comment

Being a thief just doesn’t pay.

Termites marked with traceable protiens Termites Eat $6,000 in buried cash!

Image via Wikipedia

A theif decided to bury his stolen treasure. And it just so happened that a hungry termite colony found the stash. Ultimately termites ate up more than Rs 3 lakh of the Rs 5 lakh in Rs 500 currency notes he had hidden under the ground, which equates to about $6,000 to $10,000 in U.S currency. (currency translation per Jey Pandian) It’s funny most people only think of termite’s costing money due to structural damage.  They eat up more money in the US than all other natural disaster’s combined. But in this case, they literally ate the money. Green bucks are still made from trees, and that’s the same root that termites like to feast upon. Moral of the story… Don’t be a thief!

That’s your Friday Fun Pest Report!

NAGPUR: A satisfied colony of termites proved to be the Nemesis of a thief who had left a considerable stolen booty buried in the premises of a school in Dhantoli. The termites ate up more than Rs 3 lakh of the Rs 5 lakh in Rs 500 currency notes he had hidden under the ground. http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2011-07-22/nagpur/29802776_1_crime-branch-lucky-madhao-giri

Live a Pest Free Life

December 31st, 2009 No comments

Bulwark has gone through a few different stages in its marketing.  To say the least, finding a consistent voice that really communicates what your company, culture, service, ideology, and values are all about isn’t as simple as it might seem.  Some people refer to this as branding, others call it public relations, or simply put its your public face.

Well as the new year rolls in, we want to visit this thought just a little bit more.

“Live a pest free life.” Catchy phrase that we promoted for a little while.  It conveys the hope and aspiration of what a pest control company delivers to its customers.  But it sounds almost too cliche.

Like Family.” Perfect for how Bulwark views and treats all within its sphere of influence.  Employees, customers, we want all to feel at home with us. But is it too vague?

“Small enough to care, big enough to deliver.” This seems to hit the nail on the head.  Bulwark is the perfect medium ground between small family owned companies, and the larger corporate pest control services.  Bulwark still remains a family owned operation and services thousands of US homes.

“Do you have a Bulwark protecting your home?” Now this is a play off the definition of Bulwark, a defensive wall or barrier.  So in light of the definition we hoped that people would catch on to the goal of our service.  Get the bugs out and keep them out.  But, like a bad joke, if you have to explain it then it doesn’t work.

Needless to say, at this point, we still have no really marketing message.  Bulwark’s pest control service simply rolls forward by providing good service.  Business comes from referrals.  Referrals come from providing good service.  In the end, if we perfect what we do best, pest control service, then we won’t have to do the talking at all.  Our customers will do it for us.

“ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS.”

To sum it up… Live a pest free life by getting your Bulwark today from a pest control service that is small enough to treat you like family but big enough to do it right.
